Hull City’s midfielder Tom Huddlestone has signed a new contract with the newly promoted side.
The midfielder’s contract was due to expire on the 1st of July, but he has agreed to stay for a further two years. He said that it was a great achievement to be part of the team that won promotion to the Premier League and that he wants to be part of the adventure again.
Tom Huddlestone believes that Hull City has a great role to play in the Premier League and believes that he can contribute to it. He said that he has enjoyed mixed feelings during his time at Hull City and that he wants to remain as long as he can. Indeed, Tom Huddlestone has enjoyed it all at Hull City. He has been part of the Hull City team that played in Europe; he was part of the team that was relegated from the Premier League, and now he is part of the team that won promotion back to the Premier League.
Tom Huddlestone joined Hull City in 2013 from Tottenham and had since then made 123 appearances for the team. He made 47 appearances last season as he established himself as a valuable member of the team that won promotion to the Premier League. It was not easy though as Hull City had to go through the play-off and managed to beat Sheffield Wednesday.
Tom Huddlestone believes that Hull City has a good squad and that they will be able to hold their ground in the Premier League. He said that in Steve Bruce they have a quality manager and that he is sure that he manager will be looking for new players to strengthen the team. He believes that Hull City is stronger now and that they will be able to avoid relegation.
